Smart Cities
When it comes to Cities of the Future we’re in for a lot of changes – from a technology perspective, but also because of population growth. In order to make cities liveable with so many people, we need to use smart technologies like sensors to help us plan and maintain them.
In this video, Shara Evans discusses the changes that we’re likely to see in the near and longer term future, including the use of sensors to detect all types of city conditions (temperature, pollutants, barometric pressure, pedestrian traffic, vehicular traffic, ambient noise and a whole lot more), the increasing use of robots, and self-repairing cities that utilise fleets of tiny robots to do repairs.
